Z njo so krmili doma\u010de \u017eivali in pripravljali razli\u010dne jedi - \u017eli\u010dnike s svinjskimi ocvirki, koruzno moko so kombinirali s p\u0161eni\u010dno in iz nje pripravljali kruh. Koruzni kruh z mlekom je bil tudi eden od slovenskih tradicionalnih zajtrkov. Skoraj na vsaki kmetiji so jo posadili maja ali junija, za zorenje pa je potrebovala pribli\u017eno tri do \u0161tiri mesece. Kmetje s sosednjih kmetij so si navadno pomagali pri kme\u010dkih opravilih - tako kot so si pomagali pri lu\u0161\u010denju koruze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Postopek je bil zelo preprost - najprej so pobrali koruzne stor\u017ee, jih prinesli domov in iz njih naredili kup\u010dek. Pod kupom so skrili \"babo\", steklenico alkoholne pija\u010de ali kak\u0161no drugo pija\u010do, da bi kmete spodbudili k lupljenju koruze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gospodinja je obi\u010dajno ves dan pripravljala razli\u010dne jedi za vse, ki so ji pomagali. Lupljenje koruze se je po navadi za\u010delo zve\u010der, ko so vsi kon\u010dali s svojimi kme\u010dkimi opravili in so lahko pomagali sosedu. \u017denske so bile zadol\u017eene za odstranjevanje ve\u010dine koruznih plev, pri \u010demer so jih pustile dve ali tri. Mo\u0161ki so nato dva koruzna stor\u017ea zvezali skupaj in jih prepeljali v hlev (kozolec), kjer so jih pustili, da se posu\u0161ijo. Ko je bilo vse delo opravljeno, so nekaj \u010dasa pre\u017eiveli skupaj, jedli odli\u010dne tradicionalne jedi, ki jih je pripravila gospodinja, in s pija\u010do ali dvema proslavili dobro opravljeno delo.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Koruza je bila v preteklosti in je \u0161e vedno zelo pomembno \u017eito za slovenske kmetije.
